The veil belongs to the ceremony, and few brides keep it on until the end of the night. It usually comes off between the ceremony and the drinks reception.
Why it comes off after the ceremony
Straight after the ceremony there are usually photos in which the veil still looks wonderful, with your partner and with your family. After that it has done its part, and taking it off leaves you freer for the drinks, the hugs and the dancing.
Who takes the veil off
Unless bride assistance has been booked for a large wedding, I have already left by then, so a relative or someone from the wedding staff takes it off. It is easy: a veil that has been put in well comes out very simply, and if you like, before I leave I show whoever will do it how.
Why taking the veil off does not spoil the hairstyle
It is rare for the hairstyle to suffer when the veil comes off. A well-placed veil slides out cleanly, and the hairstyle chosen at the trial stays as it was for the rest of the celebration.
